My Morgan
Because of Morgans….
Because of Morgans I am always excited about tomorrow! Going to the barn and hanging out with my horse and my friends’ horses can make my day better no matter what. Anything that I could possibly do never seems as bad because my horse would never judge me. Because of Morgans I’m drug free and smoke free. While many other kids my age are partying on Friday nights, I’m at the barn cleaning stalls and working horses. I have never even thought about doing many of these things because I wouldn’t want to let down not only myself, but my trainer or my horse. Because of Morgans I have passion. Nothing in my life except this can make me willingly get up at 5 am on a Saturday. My barn friends are like my family and I know I always have their support…and they have mine!

Because of Morgans…
Because of Morgans I was able to build my confidence and self-esteem to become the person I am today. Morgans have taken me many miles whether it be in the show ring or down the trail. I have gone to Oklahoma and back on several Morgans and have won several titles on a Morgan. I have worked my family’s cows on Morgans and have covered miles and miles of trails. Morgans have been there for me through the good times and the bad. Because of Morgans I have many great memories with my family. When my mother passed away 5 years ago to ALS, it was my Morgans that helped get me through the sadness. My mother loved Morgans and instilled that love for them in me and that it is something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Morgans are always there for me and always put a smile on my face. Morgans have been a part of me my entire life and will be always in the future.
Because of Morgans…
“Because of Morgans I am leading the life I have always dreamed of. Morgans are the reason when I hit the gate, all eyes are on me. Morgans are the ethereal lifeblood running through my veins, fueling my heart in a world that better belongs in my wildest dreams. When I am riding, I am transported on a journey of exhilaration, passion, and action. The versatility of this breed allows me to experience all aspects of the horse world from trail rides to showing in the jumping ring. Whether for pleasure or show, my Morgan horses help me get the most out of life.”
Because of Morgans….

I have made a new family. The Morgan community is such a tightly nit group of people, it is like a family. My friends and their parents from the barn have become my family. Their houses are like second homes. I love being with them and my horse.
